PMP

PMP

Grayling Primary School provides the Preps with an extra period of Physical Education every Wednesday afternoon called PMP. PMP stands for Perceptual Motor Program and is a movement-based program which helps younger students to improve their eye/hand and eye/foot coordination, fitness, balance, locomotion and eye-tracking skills.

The program uses a variety of equipment and focuses on engaging students in moderate intensity stations. It is extremely important for Preps to have this extra session of physical education as children who are between the ages of 5 and 7, have the correct neurological & anatomical ability to best develop all their fundamental movement skills. This session is run by the Physical Education teacher with the assistance of Prep teachers, Year 5 and 6 students and parent volunteers.
