5/6 Sport

Grayling Primary School provides Year 5 and 6 students with an extra two periods of sport each Friday morning on top of their physical education lesson. Each semester students collectively select a sport that they are interested in learning about and participating in. Students are trained in skills, gameplay strategies and the rules of their chosen sport within a team orientated atmosphere. Students are also given the opportunity to showcase what they have learnt in fortnightly matches against other schools within our district. Towards the end of each semester students are able to participate in the Lightning Premiership Tournament which is a full day of competing against all the schools within our district. If one of our schools’ teams is victorious, they will be selected to represent our district in the next round (division) and hopefully leading to State Championships.
